Social Relief of Distress (SRD) Grant
The SRD R370 grant provides temporary financial assistance to South African citizens, permanent residents, and special permit holders who are unemployed and have no other source of income.
The Social Relief of Distress (SRD) grant is a temporary social assistance measure introduced by the South African government to support unemployed individuals who are in dire need of financial help. The grant was initially introduced as a COVID-19 relief measure but has been extended to continue supporting vulnerable South Africans.
The SRD grant provides R370 per month to eligible beneficiaries. This amount is reviewed periodically and may be adjusted based on government policy and budget allocations.
